Leg Grippers Exist.

Why are some people so damn creative? Sometimes, I wonder, How did they think of that?

Case in point. I'm browsing Fashionising, when I see this picture. And I'm thinking. I want these...leg suspenders? I'm not sure if that's what they're called. Where does one even find these? I did spend some time searching weird suspenders only online stores to find the answer. But again, can someone tell me where these said creative persons are shopping so that I can find the same inspiration. Leg suspenders exist?!?

Maybe they're what Suspendease refers to as "leg grippers?" I'm still not sure. All I know is that I need these things. Badly. I don't think this girl looks like a streetwalker. Then again, my mind is kind of biased, and I also am looking out for the perfect and affordable thigh high boot. Isabel Marant already gave me perfection, but she didn't give me a free pair, so the search is still on.

I do think that this is a very interesting take on many trends. The destroyed, ripped, and tattered jean (short). The lingerie as outerwear. Thigh high anything (In this case, thigh high stockings). And though suspenders have moved out of the trend phase, she's still using them in a way better way. Alternative to garters. Way cooler alternative.

Dear 2010,

2010,

How I wait for you with great anticipation.

What you will bring me, I don't even know. 2009 was good to me, so I do hope you won't disappoint.

At the very beginning, I'll be in a different country, but at the same time, I won't have the comforts of home, Athens, and all of my wonderful friends. Not even any familiar accents. I'll survive.

Well 2010, I've made some things that I would like to do during your duration. Resolutions, you could call them. Other people will be doing this too, so don't get too overwhelmed.

(These are in no particular order.)

1. Become a better French conversationalist.

Really, this just means to be more fluent in the language. I don't know how I've been able to take the language since middle school and still end up struggling to express myself. FLAWED EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM. But that's not my problem to solve now. I'm getting to go to Paris on that educational system's dime. And some of mine too.

2. Be a better cook.

I can't keep surviving on campus meal plans. Especially since, during this spring semester, I won't have the comfort of the UGA Dining Halls to keep me from starving. I have to walk to markets. I have to cook for myself! Frightening thought...Me in the kitchen. But it must be done.

3. Be a better friend.

Oh, 2010. I don't think I was good to my friends in 2009. I was busy, they were busy, it was so hard to stay in touch. But I don't want to lose them completely when I come back! Whatever it takes. Skype, emails, phone calls, facebook...I'll figure it out. The same goes for family. I know they'll always be there. But I hope they know I'm there too.

4. Take more pictures.

I hate taking pictures of my every singly moment in life. That's why I don't do it. I know some people do, but it's definitely a pet peeve of mine. If a picture is worth a thousand words...the words of some pictures are like the lyrics of a Soulja Boy song...only less profound.

But seeing as how I'll be in Paris, I think taking picture will be okay. I want to remember it, even after memories start to fade. Even after 2010 is over.

Okay, 2010. Those are all the resolutions that I can commit to. Don't hold me accountable, but you can still congratulate me if they all do happen.

It's been too long!

I know it's been forever since I've written anything on here, but there's a good reason for that!

SCHOOL! And now that this semester is finally winding down, I'll have things to do in my off-time...You know, whenever I'm not desperately trying to get my visa and housing in Paris. *sigh*

Anyways, I've taken a quick break from work to give you these wonders:

THEY EVEN HAVE TAILS!!!
Don't be alarmed. I know my heart skipped a beat, too! But if anyone wants to save up with a group of friends and buy those as my going away present, I'll be forever grateful. And you'll see them on me all the time. haha

Love.
