But…one photo changed that for me:
This picture was actually taken in January, but those plaid pants have stayed with me for a long time. Ever since, I’ve had an itching desire to subscribe to the flared pants philosophy. Well, I’ve kind of taken a leap and purchased bell-bottom jeans! I knew that I wanted a really streamlined fit in the waist, hips and thighs, then it would flare out at the bottom. I think I found the perfect combination in these J Brand “Lovestory” jeans.

They’re a bit long--very long. But the jeans that I thought were my size were too small in fit and length. With the towering platforms of today, the inseam was a bit too short for my tastes. I’ll be putting those on Ebay soon. These jeans have to be folded over one time, which is fine with me. I think that the only wear for me to wear flared or bell-bottom jeans is with heels.
With these Jessica Simpson “Dany” platforms, I can almost just let these pants down. I’d risk fraying the edges, though, and the deep rinse calls for a classier look, don’t you think?
My wonderful little brother Alex took all these pictures for me. He’s such a big help to his sister, and I really couldn’t do a lot of this without him. I’ll have to properly introduce you all to him later :-)
