Georgia Heat

I just posted about my family dinner, but I arrived about 45 minutes early because plans had changed while I was already on my way. A few pictures of my outfit before I went inside:

Shirt: out of a random family closet, Pants: H&M, Purse:vintage, Shoes: Nine West, Necklace & Rings: Forever21, Wallet: Urban Outfitters

Most of the stuff I love in my closet are random things that I find. This blouse is probably one of the most lightweight things I own in one of my favorite colors. It just hangs beautifully. The necklace is probably the most gaudy thing I own pertaining to jewelry. Honestly, it looks so cheap! But I wore it anyways.

Georgia is burning up outside, but I think a bit of linen and a light shirt are the way to go if you want to avoid short shorts and tank tops for the entirety of your summer. I was still hot, but I felt sophisticated. I felt like I hadn’t succumbed to the weather. Admittedly, many days I do, but I thought dinner with Dad was a more special occasion.

A bit of a trend in my selections: Olive Green, Cream White, Cognac/Whiskey Brown. I’m not sure what is drawing me to this combination, but I think it suits me! And of course, you see the random Silly Bandz on my arm. They’re growing on me. Maybe I’ll purchase some myself and pretend like they were for my little brother.

The whole area where the restaurant was located was dead. All the shops had closed down. I think people were only driving in to get to the Kroger. Interestingly enough, there was a Whole Foods right across the street. It was a sad sight. A bit of reality…
