I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it before, but I golf. At one point, I wanted to be an amateur looking to turn pro on the LPGA. Needless to say, that hasn’t worked out. I still golf, but I’ve accepted that I’ll be on the recreational tour rather than making any money like Tiger.
That said, I’ve always lusted after the Masters jacket. Each year, professional golfers and professional spectators descend upon Augusta, GA to watch their favorite players compete for the coveted Masters victory. And with that victory comes the jacket.
I’ve searched many times, and haven’t been able to find a women’s equivalent in the golfing world. It’s unfortunate, because I’m sure I would want a blazer to go with a win. Oh well. I found my own.
I got this blazer while I was in Indiana at a thrift store called “Unique.” Since my mom discovered it on one of our trips up long ago, we’ve had to go at least once during our visit. I’ve usually protested because I could never find anything my size. Believe or not, I was even more skinny and scrawny than I am now. Thank goodness that period is over. Once oversized came into fashion, I’ve been much less resistant to these thrift store runs.
I usually am able to find at least one good thing to take home. I think this was $5 or less. Perfect condition and perfect color. It’s not quite the Masters Green that I’ve always wanted, but that color is a bit loud anyways. I also love that it’s just a bit longer than these shorts so I can fool people into thinking I’m a hot mess.
In other news, Spain has won the whole thing. Paul the Octopus is my god. Really though, than animal is IT.
In other other news, does anyone else wear these Silly Bandz? My little brother gave me some when I came back from Paris, and so I must wear one on my arm at all times. It was really too sweet of a gesture not to. I’ve got a crocodile one on right now if you can tell.

greas photo of you, i like it. i have so many wool jackets like that :)
