There’s always a few points in the year where I know it’s time to do some serious wardrobe reflection.
I’ve been able to fit some clothes since middle school. So there is a lot of accumulation of things I do not wear, but cannot get rid of for sentimental value. There are things that I hope, one day, will become fashionable again. Then I’ll be the cool girl with vintage and retro things that no one else still has.
But in these past few months, I’ve realized something. I have too much shit. Piles of clothes and piles of shoes have taken over two rooms in my parents’ house. It’s time to get some of it out!
So I’m probably going to start selling a few things on Ebay in these next few weeks. I’ve already put up this pair of boots by Pour La Victoire.
Malorie by Pour La Victoire; Size 8
When the “Malorie” boot first came out (I swear it was really named “Marjorie".”) I knew that it needed to be in my closet. It’s a gorgeous brown color—the cognac I so highly speak of. They come up just high enough on my legs while still having that slouching effect. Whenever I didn’t feel like wearing my riding boots, I turned to these.
There some wear at the toes and a bit at the heel, though it’s not very noticeable. I’m sad to be selling these, but at some point, you’ve got to let go.
