I know, this shoe is old news. But right when I saw it, many ideas floated into my head.
I just want to take some skinny jeans, leather pants…anything and pair them with these shoes. I remember back when SJP was photographed wearing them and there was a lot of snarking about the shoes and the woman. I wasn’t very fond of the shoes then either. But right now, I really must have them. Too bad they’re closer to $700 than I’d like.
I think I’ve grown to like a larger stacked heel much more than in the past. Then, it screamed the 90’s. After spending 6 months walking around Paris, it screams comfort. Stilettos are nice, but I want a heel I can keep walking in all day. To add to that, the heel is embellished with tiny nails. It’s definitely not glitter, but something a bit more rugged. I appreciate that.
The cream color is one of my favorite aspects of the shoe. The stained effect around the toe(s) is a nice touch. The division for the toes is also quirky, but I’m growing to love it. There’s no doubt that it would remind one of a horse, but a lot of shoes have hinted at it before and since. Shoes with “pony hair” outers are becoming increasingly popular, and I even have a pair of oxfords that fall into this category.
I’m sure a lot of my friends are going to question my sanity for this, but I love this shoe and would wear it in a heart beat.
