It really has been too long since I’ve posted on here!

My terrible management of time coupled with my lack of internet at home are the culprits of my lack of posts. But, with a new camera that I love and an internet connection that works, I will be posting much more often!

I don’t even know what to say first! There’s just so much going on. I guess I’ll start with my new school. To finish my undergraduate degree, I decided to transfer to the American University of Paris. I only put the word “transfer” in italics because my mother just realized that I’d be completing my degree here, or rather, spending two more years in Paris. Surprisingly or not, there’s little information about the school. So when I arrived, I really didn’t know what to expect. For any prospective students to the school, I hope I can shed some light onto the integration process of AUP and about the school in general. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

So far, school is going pretty well. The classes are pretty easy going. I’m taking College Writing (a money-grab course that, somehow, everyone placed into or below), International Law, Intermediate French (the last required writing/speaking French course), and Media Globalization. Sometimes, I feel they are a bit redundant and repetitive. I would say my French class is my favorite, but it may also be the only class I truly learn in. I’ve made a new friend who actually does speak French as her mother tongue. She even says I’m improving, and I have to say it is in part due to this class.

In terms of people, AUP has such a variety! Everyone seems to come from a different part of the world, with different experiences and personalities. It’s such a breath of fresh air compared to sameness of other universities.

And I’m thinking of starting a fashion publication at the school. I should have a meeting with the AUP Student Media board in order to see if my idea will be approved. If not, I’ll probably end up making it anyway. I’m really excited about it and want to share everything! But I’m afraid of someone stealing the idea. I’m paranoid, but I still can’t believe a fashion magazine hasn’t been created before at AUP. But who doesn’t want to be the first?

I’m going to post a few pictures that I don’t know what else to do with. Maybe you’ll get a sense of what I’ve been doing these past few weeks without internet, haha!

                       

I promise I will do better about these posts! By the way, Paris Fashion Week is coming up soon! I don’t think I’ll be attending the same amount of shows this time, but I think I’ll quite enjoy joining the fashion paparazzi in taking pictures with my new Nikon. And that reminds me I need to start forwarding my mail to my new address…settling in Paris is a task never quite done…
