There’s just something about Paris that exhausts me each day. Maybe I’m not quite used to my commute to school. Maybe it’s the absence of a complete breakfast. Maybe I should go to bed earlier. More than likely, it’s a combination of the above. But, at the end of the day, I am wiped. I don’t want to do homework, make dinner, or even think about the next day. I just want to sleep.
But sometimes, I gather enough energy (or find the time to take a nap) to go out to dinner or for drinks. This particular night, I enjoyed the most amazing Ethiopian food. I hadn’t eaten their dishes since I was little. My dad used to take us to all these little ethnic places in Atlanta. I have no idea where the Ethiopian restaurant in Atlanta was. But I do remember the bread. And it was so nice to taste it again! I should have taken pictures there, but I was way too busy enjoying the meal.

Do you see that bag in my hand? I couldn’t finish the meal, but I had to ask for a doggy bag. Les restes, I think, in French. I don’t usually ask because, one, I hate mangling the French language and two, I never see anyone else asking for leftovers. But it was too yummy. The waiter/host was incredibly nice. There could not have been a more pleasant person. It made the whole experience even better.
Also, as you can see, I have given up on wearing mega platforms with my bell bottoms. I still have on a high wedge, mind you, but my Jessica Simpson platforms aren’t possible if I’m walking any long distances. Though my jeans skim the sidewalks of Paris, I do love this look. I feel laid-back, care-free…exactly how I want to feel in bell bottoms. Since the weather was so nice, I put on a light button up, pulled my hair back with my favorite scarf, and enjoyed the evening.

I have another post coming up! Tomorrow, I must present my proposal for a fashion magazine at AUP. Tomorrow/Today is also my birthday (October 9!)
I’m finally twenty-one years of age, but that stopped being important when I moved to France. Rubbish.

Bon anniversaire mon amie! J'espère que vous avez reçu tout votre coeur désiré!
